On November 30, the RA Minister of Defense Vagharshak Harutyunyan received the US Ambassador to Armenia Lynne Tracy.
Ambassador Tracy congratulated Vagharshak Harutyunyan on assuming the post of Minister of Defense and wished him success.
At the request of the US Ambassador, the Minister of Defense presented the implementation of the agreements reached after the cessation of hostilities. The return of prisoners, the search for the missing and the exchange of bodies were mentioned as priorities.
The Minister also informed that the analysis of military operations and the assessment of omissions are being carried out, which may lead to structural and legislative changes.
During the meeting, the possibilities of giving a new impetus to the Armenian-American cooperation in the field of defense were also discussed.
