"I want to talk about a specific example. You know that on November 10 of this year, events took place, in fact, an attack on the Speaker of the National Assembly. 50 people have been charged in these cases so far. A motion was filed in court to detain 42 of them. 20 of motions were rejected, 18 were satisfied. 2 people were arrested in this case, the arrest of another was denied. The main question that arises from these statistics is - what is our assessment and to what extent does this situation correspond to what happened ?”.
The Prosecutor General Arthur Davtyan and the head of the NSS Investigation Department Arthur Poghosyan presented the legal processes related to the events that took place on the night of November 10, the results of the investigative actions. Summing up the meeting, the Prime Minister stressed that as a result of the law enforcement system activity, every citizen in Armenia, regardless of his position, should feel fully protected, and the law enforcement system should be aimed at solving this problem.
