On November 30, the RA Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan had a telephone conversation with the Permanent Secretary for European Affairs and America of the United Kingdom Wendy Morton.
During the conversation, a reference was made to the current situation in Artsakh and regional developments. The Minister Ayvazyan presented to his interlocutor the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh, which is caused as a result of the Turkish-Azerbaijani aggression with the participation of foreign armed terrorists, and the steps taken to overcome it.
Ayvazyan also stressed the priority of restoring and addressing the rights of the Armenians of Artsakh, including through the recognition of the right of the people of Artsakh to self-determination.
The parties touched upon the restoration and maintenance of stability in the South Caucasus after the war. In this regard, the RA Foreign Minister noted that Turkey's expansionist ambitions could have destructive consequences for the whole region.
