It will take about 15 years to clear the area of explosives after the hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. Director of the Nagorno Karabakh Humanitarian Demining Center Samvel Mesropyan told reporters, RIA Novosti reports.
"I have been working as a professional in this area for 20 years. According to my calculations, it will take about 15 years to find, demine and clear everything in Nagorno-Karabakh. We will find all this not only in cities but also in villages. There is a lot of work to be done", Mesropyan said.
According to him, among the dangerous objects found are tank and artillery shells, hand grenades, cluster munitions.
