The RA Minister of Health Arsen Torosyan took part in the ceremony of receiving humanitarian aid from France to Armenia, which was also attended by the French Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne, French Ambassador to Armenia Jonathan Lacotte, Aznavour Foundation Director Christina Aznavour, Goodwill Ambassador from France for Armenia Youri Djorkaeff, other guests.
This is the second plane carrying humanitarian aid from France to support the Armenian population affected by the Artsakh-Azerbaijani war. The humanitarian aid will be distributed to the medical institutions operating in Armenia.
During the event, Arsen Torosyan and Jean-Baptiste Lemoyne signed a document confirming that France has donated to Armenia 1 mobile medical center with a capacity of 5 tons, capable of treating 500 patients, 1 batch for COVID treatment consisting of 5 generators, 5 extractors, 25,000 gloves, 900 outfits, 10000 FFP2 masks, as well as 2500 hygiene kits.
Representatives of the French organization "Doctors Without Borders" also arrived in Armenia within the framework of cooperation. The organization will work in Armenia to provide the necessary medical care - physical and psychological rehabilitation, provision of necessary drugs, devices and materials and other necessary directions.
At the end of the ceremony, the members of the French delegation again expressed readiness to support and assured the Armenian side that the humanitarian aid will be continuous.
