"We regularly publish the death toll. There have been cases when it was officially announced that a specific person had died, but it turned out that he was alive. And now it is very important to be accurate in this matter. Of course, we are not going to hide anything, and our society, our citizens will have full information". The RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an interview with TASS news agency.
As for the missing, Pashinyan noted that there were cases when people were considered missing, but then their whereabouts were found, they returned, and it turned out that due to circumstances they simply could not contact relatives, friends or with official structures. "In other words, the process of clarifying all these issues is underway. Much work is being done to find the possible whereabouts of all the missing. Now, as I said, the exchange of prisoners and detainees is very important. We are working closely with the Russian government on these issues, I am in close contact with the Russian President, and the peacekeepers in Nagorno-Karabakh are also very active in this process.
I would like to point out that it is not right to publish figures at this time, as they will not be 100% accurate. Our policy is that we will publish the figures, but first we must make sure that they are accurate. In order to avoid inconsistencies, we need to check the information, because we are dealing with human destinies, emotions, we must be very careful", said the Prime Minister.
