Sufficient objective evidence has been obtained on the facts of the murder, torture and ill-treatment of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians in Azerbaijan. Arevik Khachatryan, Public Relations Officer of the RA Prosecutor General's Office, wrote about it on her Facebook page.
"The General Prosecutor's Office of the Republic of Armenia is taking measures to present to the partner international prosecutorial bodies the facts of the atrocities committed against the Armenian prisoners of war and civilians in the Republic of Azerbaijan. The aim is to initiate criminal prosecution based on cases of criminal, inhumane manifestations towards wounded prisoners of war and civilians and to provide additional guarantees for their protection.
For this purpose, the RA Prosecutor's Office is in constant contact and cooperation with the relevant domestic bodies dealing with the issues of prisoners of war and citizens of Armenia and Artsakhn who in captivity", Khachatryan wrote in particular.
