Today, the President of France Emmanuel Macron visited the headquarters of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund's French branch in support of the annual fundraising-telephone marathon of the French-Armenian community. This year it is dedicated to the needs of tens of thousands of Artsakh Armenians displaced and deprived of property as result of Azerbaijan's military aggression with the help of Turkey and mercenary terrorists. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in France, citing AFP.
President Macron stated: "This humanitarian commitment of France is our direct debt to the 120,000 displaced Armenian population from Artsakh and the seven returned regions, as well as to at least 1 million Armenians in a difficult situation in Armenia.
The first plane carrying the humanitarian aid of the French government, as well as the aid of the French branch of the Hayastan All-Armenian Fund, will leave for Yerevan on November 22, and the second on November 27. The humanitarian baggage will be delivered to Armenia by the famous French-Armenian football player, the 1998 world Champion Yuri Jorkaef".
In addition to referring to humanitarian aid, President Emmanuel Macron, in particular, noted․ "France demands that as a result of the cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh on November 9, the terms of the ceasefire also apply to the Armenian spiritual, historical and cultural heritage in order to prevent their destruction".
President Macron reaffirmed France's desire to include the trilateral statement signed between Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan in the framework of international control.
