Russia expects the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs to join in resolving humanitarian issues in Nagorno-Karabakh on the basis of the November 9 trilateral agreement. The Russian FM Sergey Lavrov stated this, RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian Foreign Minister noted the need for the involvement of international organizations in the settlement of humanitarian issues in Nagorno Karabakh.
"Through the peacekeepers, we, together with our Azerbaijani counterparts, with the participation of the Armenian side, are actively agreeing on concrete ways to resolve humanitarian issues for the benefit of the returning people. This is the regulation of all necessary issues for the unblocking the civil infrastructure, economic and transport ties", he added.
"We expect that the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs, who have been leading the political process together with Russia for years, will join in resolving these issues, taking into account and based on the November 9 agreements", Lavrov said.
