On November 19, the RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan met with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
Davit Tonoyan praised the role and efforts of the Russian Federation in regulating the military-political situation in the region, as well as the process and effectiveness of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Artsakh.
The parties stressed the importance of the process of finding and exchanging dead servicemen, captives, hostages and missing persons, coordinated by the Russian Peacekeeping Forces and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The RA Minister of Defense David Tonoyan once again expressed condolences on the death of Russian servicemen as a result of the Mi-24 helicopter crash in Armenia. He conveyed to Sergey Kopirkin the decrees of the President of the Republic of Armenia on awarding Major Yuri Ishchuk (posthumously), Senior Lieutenant Roman Fedin (posthumously) and Senior Lieutenant Vladislav Gryazin with the Combat Service Medal.
