The RF President announced the establishment of an interdepartmental humanitarian response center to facilitate the resolution of humanitarian issues and the restoration of civilian infrastructure in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Putin expressed hope that in the near future it will be possible to resolve the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and the term "Nagorno Karabakh conflict" will no longer be used. Then the Minister of Defense reported on the situation in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeepers.
Shoigu stressed that according to Vladimir Putin's decree, 1960 servicemen of the Russian peacekeeping force, 90 armored vehicles, 380 units of vehicles and special equipment are deployed in the territory of Nagorno Karabakh and in the Lachin corridor. It is based on the units of the 15th separate motorized rifle brigade of the Central Military District.
"On November 10-11, the Lachin corridor was taken under the control. Yesterday at 5 p.m the peacekeeping units entered Stepanakert. The military of Stepanakert and Shushi have set up 4 checkpoints. Today we are completing the deployment of observation posts in the "South" area of responsibility. The total number of them in this zone will be 9. Another peacekeeping unit is located in the north of Nagorno-Karabakh. Tomorrow we plan to finish the installation of 8 observation points in this zone.
We continue to transfer equipment and material resources by military transport aircraft of the Russian Air and Space Forces with 25 flights a day. During 3 days, 73 flights were carried out, 1103 servicemen and 1168 units of equipment were transferred.
An operative group of the Ministry of Defense has been deployed, direct communication channels have been established with the defense ministries of Azerbaijan and Armenia, with which work is underway to clarify the parameters of the peacekeeping operation.
The control of the Russian peacekeeping forces is carried out from the command post located in Stepanakert. The situation in the area of peacekeeping operations is monitored around the clock, and the ceasefire continues. The command of the peacekeeping contingent has taken all necessary measures to ensure the security of the Russian military", said the Minister of Defense.
He stressed that the problems of a humanitarian nature are growing every day: "These are the relocation and return of refugees, of course, other humanitarian problems", Shoigu said.
