According to the Russian Defense Ministry, 10 peacekeepers' checkpoints have been deployed along the Nagorno Karabakh line of contact and the Lachin corridor.
They have the task of collecting information on ceasefire violations, delivering that information to the peacekeeping command in a timely manner, maintaining traffic safety and suppressing illegal actions against the civilian population.
Military police units that are part of the peacekeeping unit will also perform tasks. They are entrusted with patrolling along the line of contact of the parties, escorting motorcades. The peacekeeping force is equipped with modern weapons, military and special equipment.
