Allegations of betrayal against Russia for allegedly lacking support to Armenia in the settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict are completely baseless. This opinion was expressed by the press secretary of the Russian president Dmitry Peskov in an interview with RT TV channel.
"Russia values its relations with Armenia, we are a member of the EEU, the CSTO, Armenia is a country with which we have built relations for centuries, and we have the same relations with the Azerbaijanis. We value our friendship, historical friendship with the people of Azerbaijan and the people of Armenia. Only this approach allowed Russia to assume the role of an impartial mediator in the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh", Peskov said.
