PM Nikol Pashinyan on Facebook live stream mentioned that he is personally and completely responsible for the situation.
"But while looking back, I know that those solutions were simply impossible for me and for you, and the fact is that we and our army fought to the end in this war. Our soldiers, officers, generals, the Commander of the Defense Army Jalal Harutyunyan, Mikayel Arzumanyan, the Chief of General Staff of RA Onik Gasparyan, many commanders who fought on the battlefield, and so on," Pashinyan said.
According to Pashinyan, many measures have been taken for the development of the army in the last 2,5 years, but maybe not all the measures were effective during this war.
"It is a fact that the army has been in the center of the government's attention for the last 2,5 years. We could not spend as much money on the army as we wanted to," said Pashinyan, adding that they could not generate sufficient funds from corruption cases and use them in the interests of the army.
According to him, in this situation we can only focus on strengthening Armenia and Artsakh, recording that we have fallen, but we have not knelt down.
"We stood strong, until the end, until the last notch, on the basis of which we have made a decision not to fall into the abyss. It was a painful but necessary and inevitable decision, because otherwise we would have appeared in a worse situation. I am personally responsible for all this, I continue to bear and will bear that responsibility. I would like to emphasize that, yes, I believe, this is a great failure for us, a great catastrophe, mourning, lost lives, but I believe that Armenia and Artsakh must live and we must become stronger and powerful," Nikol Pashinyan added.
