"The Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia expresses its deep condolences to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation on the death of the pilots of the shot down helicopter of the 102nd military base in the territory of the Republic of Armenia today and conveys its support to their relatives and friends," Shushan Stepanyan, spokesperson of RA MoD posted on Facebook.
Stepanyan noted that the Russian pilots died while fulfilling their allied obligations to ensure the security of the Republic of Armenia, so with the consent of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, they will be posthumously presented to the state awards of the Republic of Armenia.
