During the last three or four days the enemy has mainly concentrated its efforts in the direction of Shushi. Stubborn battles took place during this period, representative of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh, Colonel Suren Sarumyan reported.
"The units of the Defense Army have been resolutely defending our identity, one of the symbols of our Artsakh - the ancient fortress city of Shushi, and they are determined to fulfill their task with honor," he said during the briefing.
"During the day, the enemy again attacked in the direction of Shushi. The attacking units and groups were found and exposed to fire suffering great losses. I should mention that our subdivisions managed to capture two Azerbaijani servicemen in that section," Sarumyan said.
"Be sure that the army will be able to defeat the enemy, suppress its invasive aspirations and fulfill its task unconditionally," Sarumyan stressed.
