The situation on the front continues to be tense. Yesterday all day and today throughout the day the persistent fighting continued in different directions of the front, Artsrun Hovhannisyan, representative of the RA MoD reported during the briefing. He said that after some success in the direction of Martuni in the early morning, our troops managed to stop the enemy and throw back to the starting lines.
"The battles in the city of Shushi and in the surrounding areas were quite heavy throughout the day. There are some battles also at the moment, though with significantly decreased intensity.
Today it was severe also in the direction of Berdzor. The enemy forces tried to break through several times to Berdzor, probably trying to get to their units fighting in Shushi for help, but fled, suffering significant losses. The battles are ongoing at the moment. Overall, the situation can be considered positive. Our troops do not allow the enemy forces to develop success in any direction, but the battles are in progress," Hovhannisyan said.
