"Military operations for Shushi have been going on since early morning and are still going on. Our troops are waging a heroic struggle to defend Shushi. We are fighting to take over some positions that have passed under the control of the Azerbaijanis". The representative of the Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said this in an interview with RA Public TV.
"Yesterday, day and night, large enemy groups began to enter the city. Our troops, by regrouping, did the opposite. Now there is no party out there that has complete control.
But, it seems to me, they did not imagine that we would resist so persistently for Shushi. Shushi is very expensive for us. Let's not make premature assessments, neither optimistic, nor pessimistic. Just trust and believe in our army. Our army fought persistently and very competently all day.
Let's wait for some time. We can say that the result of a separate battle for Shushi, which has been going on non-stop for three or four days, will end tomorrow, in my opinion. I do not want to give an early assessment, the situation is changing very quickly. It seems to me that the battle will end tomorrow", Hovhannisyan said.
