More and more bodies of pro-turkish Syrian mercenaries killed in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone are being transported to Syria. According to the latest data, their number reaches 250, syriahr.com reports.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented the deaths of at least 10 mercenaries in recent hours. The bodies of 195 of the 250 killed have been transported to Syria, while the rest remain in Azerbaijan.
The newspaper notes that the number of Syrian mercenaries transferred to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone reaches 2,580, of which 342 refused take money and returned home.
Great efforts are now required from Turkey to recruit new mercenaries and send them to the conflict zone, as a large number of militants refuse to fight on the Azerbaijani side due to the religious factor and the heavy losses among the mercenaries.
Some mercenaries are not even aware that the Azeris belongs to the Shiite Muslim community and return to Syria after learning of it.
