It is noted that both sides stressed the importance of a peaceful and diplomatic settlement of the conflict. The interlocutors also spoke about the fight against terrorism.
"The Prime Minister of Canada, Trudeau, has expressed his condolences to the people of France in connection with the recent terrorist attacks and violence", the statement said.
