Today, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Italy to Armenia Vincenzo Del Monaco, who is completing his diplomatic mission in our country.
The Prime Minister praised the tenure of the Italian Ambassador to Armenia, during which effective development of bilateral relations was registered. In this context, Nikol Pashinyan considered important the official visit to Italy in 2019 and thanked the Ambassador for his personal contribution to the advancement of the Armenian-Italian agenda.
The Italian Ambassador to Armenia thanked the Prime Minister for the assessment and noted that he had made every effort to further raise the level of Armenian-Italian cooperation.
The interlocutors noted that Armenia and Italy have a great potential for cooperation, and both sides attach importance to the continuous steps towards its full realization.
The sides exchanged views on the war unleashed by Azerbaijan and Turkey against Artsakh. Vincenzo Del Monaco expressed his condolences for the loss of lives of servicemen and civilians as a result of the hostilities, noting that he was leaving Armenia at this difficult time, reaffirming his support and friendship.
Prime Minister Pashinyan noted that the Armenian people are united and determined to overcome this hard situation and reach a political settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict with the support of progressive international partners.
Nikol Pashinyan wished Vincenzo Del Monaco success in his future endeavors.
