On November 3, FM Zohrab Mnatsakanyan hosted participants of the "European Youth for the Recognition of Artsakh Independence" program initiated by the European Office of the Armenian General Benevolent Union (AGBU). The delegation consisted of current and former EU MPs as well as foreign journalists.
Welcoming the guests, Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan provided the participants with detailed information on the continuous targeting of the civilian population of Artsakh by the Azerbaijani armed forces, the shelling of civilian settlements. The Minister also spoke about the facts of deliberate arson of forested areas with the use of prohibited weapons.
The Foreign Minister noted the direct involvement of Turkey in hostilities, which is reflected in the recruitment of terrorists and their deployment in the conflict zone. "Azerbaijan has become a center of terrorism in the South Caucasus, a state sponsoring terrorism," he said.
In response to the question on further developments, Minister Mnatsakanyan especially emphasized, "This is a war for freedom. We must repay the blood of our compatriots with freedom."
