The Human Rights Defender's Office is actively working with international organizations, and there are already several responses. The Human Rights Defender Arman Tatoyan said this during the discussion of the draft budget for 2021 in the National Assembly, answering the question of MP Ani Samsonyan.
In particular, he noted that the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights has already responded to the events in Artsakh three times, even calling the Azerbaijani aggression a war crime.
Tatoyan said that there were responses from the EC Commissioner, and there are already proceedings in the ECHR against Azerbaijan's actions.
"However, it is obvious that the reaction of international organizations is disproportionate. It should be emphasized that political reasons prevail over human rights. The UN and the Council of Europe were created to protect human rights. Who has proclaimed the principles that no right should be ignored, that no one should be on the sidelines? The UN." Tatoyan stressed.
