Businesses importing and selling Turkish goods may have some problems after January 1, as they have invested in circulating capital. The RA Minister of Economy Tigran Khachatryan said this during the discussion of the budget in the commission, referring to the decision to ban the import of goods from Turkey.
He noted that the businesses should be rearranged, reorganizing the entrepreneurship they carry out. They need to find a new direction, taking into account which Turkish products are of highest demand in the Armenian market.
Tigran Khachatrian hopes that one type of import will not be completely replaced by just another type of import, a part of it will hopefully be replaced by local production. "We plan to provide support, including consulting, to the first group businesses that imported final consumer products from Turkey, and on which their business was built. Those who will have financial problems, we are ready to discuss them", the Minister said, adding that the support will be targeted.
