Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has appealed to Armenia and Azerbaijan. He called for an immediate ceasefire in Nagorno Karabakh, Mehr news agency reported.
Khamenei warned that terrorists should not be stationed near the Iranian border, adding that if Iran "feels threatened, it will respond decisively."
To remind, Iran has deployed tanks and other armored vehicles in the northwestern part of the country to protect its borders with Armenia and Azerbaijan. In addition, Tehran has conducted large-scale military exercises with the participation of air defense systems.
The Iranian side has stated that it is making efforts to establish not only a ceasefire, but also peace.
