Statement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Artsakh Masis Mailian in connection with terrorist attacks in France and Austria
"We strongly condemn the recent terrorist acts, in particular in France and Austria, which have caused innocent victims. I express my condolences to the families of the victims of these monstrous acts of violence and solidarity to the peoples of France and Austria. Terrorist methods in all their forms and manifestations threaten the entire international community and have no excuse.
The Republic of Artsakh, which has long encountered Azerbaijani state terror, is currently at the forefront of the fight against international terrorism, which Turkey and Azerbaijan use as a tool for the realization of their geopolitical ambitions and military tasks. Today the Republic of Artsakh protects not only its right to freedom and a decent life, but also the common values of the civilized world in the face of existential threat.
The fight against terrorism is a common struggle and responsibility of the entire international community. It is impossible to achieve a final victory over this global evil if it is not united and indivisible to all. It was for this reason that Artsakh Republic President Araik Harutyunyan called on October 6, 2020 to participate actively in the fight against terrorism and to create an effective and effective international anti-terrorist coalition.
I am convinced of the need to implement the most effective steps to prevent, suppress and eliminate all forms of terrorism, including those in which the states are directly or indirectly involved. International cooperation in this direction should become one of the most important elements of the system of measures for the maintenance of international peace and security", the statement reads.
