The Criminal Investigation Department of the RA Investigative Committee continues Preliminary Investigation of the criminal cases of aggression unleashed by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan along the line of contact, international terrorism, serious violations of international humanitarian law, issuing criminal orders during armed conflicts, and hiring mercenaries.
Within the framework of the preliminary investigation, large-scale investigative and other legal actions are being carried out by the RA Investigation Committee and Investigative group consisting of employees of the Investigation Department of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia.
The body conducting proceedings made a decision on involvement of Mihirab Muhammad Al Shayir as an accused under certain articles of RA Criminal Code on international terrorism, violations of the norms of international humanitarian law during armed conflicts and mercenary terrorism. On November 2, 2020, detention was chosen as a a preventive measure against the Syrian mercenary'', the IC informs.
