Today, the Pope referred to the military aggression against Karabakh, calling it a tragedy. Addressing the hundreds of believers gathered in St. Peter's Square, the Pope said: "Let us not forget about Karabakh, where hostilities are taking place now, with short-lived ceasefire breaks. The damage to infrastructure, houses and places of worship is increasing, and more and more civilians are suffering. This is a tragedy".
He called on the conflicting parties to renounce military methods. "I want to urge the parties to do everything possible to stop the bloodshed. Disagreements cannot be resolved by force, for that it is only necessary to negotiate with the support of the international community. I express my solidarity with all the victims and appeal to all the Saints to restore peace to the region", the Pope said.
