Acting Head of the Information Department of the Artsakh Defense Army Suren Sarumyan briefed "Lurer" on the situation on the frontline, emphasizing that despite the night shelling, the enemy did not succeed.
"Yesterday, the enemy continued to attack the Defense Army units in different parts of the front. All attacks were stopped, the enemy failed to occupy a new line, to have progress. During that time, the Defense Army carried out specific targeted strikes on the enemy's regrouping units. As a result of one of the blows, the enemy's ammunition was destroyed.
During the night, the enemy continued shelling in some directions of the front, both on the positions of the Defense Army vanguard units, as well as on peaceful settlements, particularly in Shushi and Karintak. One enemy tank, one armored vehicle and 5 drones were destroyed during the battles. The enemy did not manage to improve his situation, to advance, to have any success. The units of the Defense Army are keeping their line reliably and can suppress and punish all the actions of the enemy", he said.
Sarumyan also referred to the use of white phosphorus by the enemy last night. "The enemy uses all its arsenal, including chemical elements - weapons containing white phosphorus. As a result of that blow, a fire broke out in a forested area. Using such a weapon, the enemy once again proves that it does not care about international humanitarian law, or even traditional laws", he said.
