Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has left for Turkey where he has presented the Iranian initiative for the settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

The Special Envoy met Turkish Deputy FM Sedat Onal in Ankara. The two sides discussed the escalation of tension in the South Caucasus, particularly in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, as a result of which hundreds of people died.

The Iranian side called on the Nagorno Karabakh conflicting parties to adhere to international law.
