It has already been informed that the competent authorities of the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh have initiated numerous criminal cases on the facts of unleashing an aggressive war against the Republic of Armenia and the Republic of Artsakh (from 27.09.2020, in violation of the requirements of international agreements, the use of prohibited methods of warfare and the deliberate and targeted infliction of human and property losses by the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan).
In addition, the military-political leadership of the Republic of Azerbaijan, ignoring the numerous international conventions and treaties relating to the fight against terrorism, continued to use mercenaries who were members of various terrorist groups.
The latter carried out international terrorism, continued killing people, destroying buildings, structures, roads, means of communication, or other property destructions. Those terrorist attacks were accompanied by the use of grenade launchers, aircraft, drones striking a number of settlements of the republic of Artsakh and Armenia.
During the military operations in the Republic of Artsakh on October 29, 2020, the servicemen of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh have found Mihirab Muhammad Al Shayir, the Syrian mercenary of a terrorist organization. Al Shayir is a member of the Abu Hussein 23 detachment of the Abu Hamshein group. He was taken through Turkey to Azerbaijan on October 19, 2020 from a terrorist camp in northern Syria. Al Shayir, (born 5.03.1975) is originally from Hama, Syria.
Mihrab Muhammad Al Shkhair was arrested within the framework of committing crimes during the Azerbaijani war of aggression against Artsakh involving the use of recruited mercenaries, the act of aggression, gross violations of international humanitarian law norms, issuing criminal orders and committing international terrorism. He is arrested under certain articles of the RA Criminal Code.
