"Washington is proposing to deploy Scandinavian peacekeepers in the Karabakh conflict zone", US National Security Adviser Robert O'Brien said during a meeting with the Armenian-American community. He proposed the deployment of peacekeepers, expressing hope that both sides will accept the idea of Scandinavian peacekeepers.
"It is difficult to imagine a long-term ceasefire without the involvement of multinational peacekeepers or observers. Any armed peacekeeping force in the conflict zone should not include representatives from the Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, as well as neighboring states. We believe that peacekeepers from Denmark, Sweden, Finland and Norway will meet the demands of the parties. We are working with the governments of those countries", O'Brien said.
