On October 30, David Tonoyan, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia, received Jonathan Lacote, the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of France to RA. During the meeting the situation in the war zone was discussed.
The Minister of Defense presented facts of involvement of foreign servicemen and mercenaries, and also the consequences of targeting the peaceful settlements by enemy.
Davit Tonoyan stressed that the Armenian forces have sufficient opportunities to confidently fulfill the tasks set before them, and the maintenance of the ceasefire can be ensured only in case of introducing the international verification measures.
Ambassador Lacote, in his turn, noted the need to adhere to the ceasefire agreements and to make efforts to resolve the issue through negotiations.
