The statement of the RA MFA
During the last three days, the peaceful settlements of Nagorno Karabakh continue to be attacked by various types of Azerbaijani missile, artillery and strike drones, as well as by the air force.
Stepanakert, Shushi and Martakert have been incessantly targeted since the second half of October 28. Stepanakert and Martakert are the hardest hit, as a result of which huge damage is caused to the civilian population, civil infrastructure is destroyed. In condition of pandemics hospitals and healthcare infrastructure are hit. There are many victims and wounded.
These war crimes committed by the Azerbaijani regime against the civilian population are accompanied by the direct involvement of Turkey and international terrorists, and are aimed at destroying the Armenian people in Nagorno-Karabakh.
Despite calls from the international community and the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair countries, Azerbaijan stubbornly rejects the implementation of ceasefire agreements and the introduction of verification mechanisms for maintaining the ceasefire in the conflict zone.
In an effort to carry out its genocidal intent and avoid responsibility for it, Azerbaijan has simultaneously launched a campaign based on falsifications and fabrications to mislead the international community.
Azerbaijan's policy of crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing is comdemned to failure. It will continue to face the resolute resistance of the people of Artsakh, which will be implemented by all means of self-defense.
