The City Council of Palermo has recognized the independence of the Artsakh Republic. This was reported by the Armenian Embassy in Italy.
The city council unanimously recognized the independence of Artsakh.
"Thank you, Palermo, for standing by your values", the statement said.
Earlier the independence of the Artsakh Republic was also recognized by the Italian cities Asolo and Cerchiara di Calabria.
