During the day, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces and terrorist groups accompanying it with various special forces, continued their offensive operations. They were in the direction of subdivisions located along the RA border. There were also attacks from the north to the south of Artsakh. The representative of the RA Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan said about that during the briefing.
"Small-scale military operations were carried out in the direction of Berdzor and in the southern part. The enemy did not manage to advance towards Berdzor, despite their certain efforts. In this direction, the subdivisions of our armed forces managed to have certain positional improvements. Mainly shelling was carried out in the northern direction, in the direction of Martakert and norther", Hovhannisyan said.
The representative of the RA Ministry of Defense said - during the day we saw the evidence of the atrocities of Azerbaijan in the cities of Shushi and Stepanakert, as a result of which there were victims and wounded among the civilians. Hovhannisyan stressed that even the maternity hospital and other civil buildings were hit, in connection with which, "we drew the world's attention".
"Fighting continued in the southern direction, aimed at neutralizing subversive groups. Those works continue. They are focal, slow, non-intense, but persistent in nature", Hovhannisyan said.
According to him, the Defense Army has repeatedly stressed its commitment to adhere to the ceasefire agreements, but the views of the Azerbaijani side on those agreements seem to be completely different.
"They seem to interpret these agreements as a permit to target the peaceful population and infrastructure of Artsakh, to exterminate the Armenians of Artsakh.
It can not be like that.
The Artsakh Defense Army is taking all the necessary steps to neutralize any threat to the people of Artsakh", Hovhannisyan said, noting that the hostilities do not have the same density and dynamics. They are mostly local, but continuous. The enemy mainly uses subversive groups, artillery, partly air force.
