The city of Glendale (USA) has recognized the independence of the Artsakh Republic. The city council unanimously adopted the resolution recognizing independence in a remote session. The resolution is formally calling upon the President of the United States and U.S. Congress to do the same.
The document recognizing Artsakh's independence was authored by Glendale Mayor Vrezh Aghajanyan. The resolution states that the Artsakh Republic is historically an Armenian territory, the majority of whose population has always been Armenians.
