The US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo had telephone conversations with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, urging them to fulfill their commitments to maintain the ceasefire. This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a statement by US State Department spokesman Morgan Ortagus.
"Secretary Pompeo called on the leaders to fulfill their obligations to end the violence and to seek a diplomatic solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict through the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs. He also noted that there is no military solution to the conflict", said a statement of the State Department speaker.
