17 Armenian prisoners of war are being held in Azerbaijan, Rafael Vardanyan, a representative of the Investigative Committee, told reporters.
"We are working with the RA Representation in the ECHR and the Interdepartmental Commission on Prisoners to apply urgent measures to these people, which include medical care, non-torture, etc.," the official said.
According to him, at the moment there is no mercenary terrorist in the status of a prisoner of war in Armenia, but there are many factual data on their involvement in hostilities.
Vardanyan also referred to the Azerbaijani prisoners of war being held in Armenia. "They are being held in accordance with all international humanitarian norms," the official assured.
