The President of the Artsakh Republic Arayik Harutyunyan informs that Jalal Harutyunyan was wounded, due to which he will be replaced by Mikael Arzumanyan - as the Commander of the Defense Army.
Major General Mikael Arzumanyan was appointed Minister of Defense of the Artsakh Republic and Commander of the Defense Army, he was awarded the military rank of Lieutenant General.
"The decision to release Jalal Harutyunyan is imperative at the moment, due to the wound he got in the military position these days, and it should not be a reason for comments. I wish Jalal Harutyunyan a speedy recovery and I am sure that he will return to the service of the homeland very soon.
I am sure that Mikael Arzumanyan realizes the level of responsibility in his new position and will spare no effort and energy to justify that trust", the Artsakh President said.
