Protests condemning the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan in Nagorno Karabakh were also organized in Lithuania, according to the website of the Lithuanian Public Television and Radio Company.
More than 200 representatives of the Armenian community of Lithuania and their supporters marched through the Martinas Majvidas Library near the parliament building in Vilnius, passing through the old town of Vilnius.
"Today, the war continues and the Turkish-Azeri joint forces, recruiting terrorist organizations from Syria and Libya, simply destroy Armenians in Nagorno-Karabakh.
We, Armenians, call it the second genocide, as Armenian people have lived there for thousands of years," said a representative of the Armenian community in Lithuania.
The Armenian community of Lithuania is trying to draw the attention of the Lithuanian authorities and the public to this issue, in order to stop the war by all possible means. Armenians do not want the Lithuanian authorities to remain silent, as this country, as well as Turkey, is a member of NATO.
