France has strongly condemned Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's unacceptable remarks to President Emanuel Macron, recalling the French ambassador from Ankara for consultations, France-Presse reported.
"President Erdogan’s comments are unacceptable. Excess and rudeness are not a method. We demand that Erdogan change the course of his policy because it is dangerous in every respect”, the French president's office said.
It is also mentioned that the French ambassador will meet with Emanuel Macron to discuss the situation.
Earlier, in response to Macron's policy on Muslims, Erdogan said the French president needed a mental health check.
