The municipality of Sayaxche in the Republic of Guatemala has recognized the right of the Armenian population of Artsakh to self-determination, supporting the creation of a free and autonomous state.
On October 21, Carlos Lopez, Member of the Parliament of the Republic of Guatemala, had made a statement, stating that he recognizes the right of the Armenian people of Artsakh to self-determination.
