Women and children from Artsakh are protesting in front of the US Embassy in Armenia, demanding justice and being heard. They demand that the United States recognize Independence of Artsakh as soon as possible. The protest is being held under the slogans "We want peace", "Do not be blind", "Stop, Erdogan".
In her speech, one of the members of the initiative group mentioned that they are here to demand an end to the terrorism that is taking place today on the borders of Artsakh, up to Stepanakert.
"As a NATO member, we urge the United States to impose sanctions on Turkey and to end Turkey's involvement in the Karabakh-Azerbaijani conflict, and as a Co-Chair of the OSCE Minsk Group to intervene for the peaceful settlement of the conflict. We want the US ambassador to listen to us so that September 11 is not repeated in Artsakh".
Armine Melkonyan, another member of the initiative group, stated that Azerbaijan and Turkey also use American weapons against the civilian population, which is inadmissible. According to her, it is time for the United States to play its role in this region and prevent terrorism.
The representative of the US Embassy met the protesters, offered three women to enter the building and meet with the ambassador to hand over their letter of demand.
