Early this morning the hostilities continued in all directions, the representative of the RA Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan informed, adding that even the central direction was hot.
"The hostilities in the North were of the following nature: The enemy made several offensive attempts, which repulsed our armed forces, causing significant damage to the enemy. Aviation was used, mainly tactical planes, which did not succeed at all", Hovhannisyan said, continuing.
"Several subversive groups tried to penetrate our positions in the central direction and move forward, but after firing by our artillery, they retreated and fled. There were mainly forces without armored vehicles.
Several localized battles continued in the southern direction. The direction has changed to the part closer to the Araks riverbed. In several separate places, our armed forces stopped the enemy's attempts to advance, no millimeter the enemy came forward, they were pushed back, suffering significant losses. The air force was hardly used, although one plane was shot down by our air defense in the morning.
The battles continue, they are not so hot compared to the previous days. Mainly artillery, very small amount of armor is used. A large number of subversive, attacking groups, infantry, partly air force are used", Hovhannisyan concluded.
