The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia informs that as of 11:00, on October 21, a total of 68,530 cases of coronavirus disease have been confirmed, of whom 49,219 have recovered and 1,121 are fatal. At present 17,869 patients are being treated for coronavirus. In total 357,104 tests have been performed.
On October 21, 1,836 new positive cases have been registered, 485 have recovered, 20 deaths (men 73, 52, 81, 66, 79 women 79, 62, 81, 67, 75, 77, 49, 60, 74, 80, 66, 83, 83, 85, 16 ( girl) ). All of them had side chronical diseases. 4,340 tests have been performed yesterday.
It should be noted that the first case of death of a child from coronavirus has been registered since the beginning of the spread of the epidemic. A 16-year-old child had severe comorbid conditions, particularly a 2-year-old postoperative condition after partial removal of a malignant brain tumor, a vegetative state (did not speak, did not walk, did not sit, did not communicate), to which COVID-19 was added, with its consequences. The loss is painful. Doctors took all necessary measures, but it was not possible to save the child's life.
3 deaths were reported the previous day when the patients were diagnosed with a coronavirus infection, but died of another illness. The total number of such cases is 321.
