The special sitting of the RA National Assembly convened on the initiative of the government has started. On the agenda is the draft law "On Defining Tax Privileges during Martial Law", which is being discussed in the first reading.
Deputy Minister of Finance Arman Poghosyan informed that the draft proposes to exempt military, humanitarian and healthcare goods imported from EEU member states from tax liabilities for donation to the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Ministry of Health.
"It is proposed to exempt the import of these goods from value added tax, and if the given product is subject to excise or environmental tax, then also from the mentioned taxes. The goal is to make the support more targeted and effective", Poghosyan said.
