The RA Deputy Foreign Minister Shavarsh Kocharyan during a briefing with journalists in the parliament referred to the forthcoming meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan with the US Secretary of State.
Kocharyan noted that Russia and France have been more active as co-chairs so far, and now it is important for the American side to join.
"In this case, the issue on the agenda of the three co-chairs is not only to declare a ceasefire, but also to implement it. And it is not accidental that the discussion of the UN Security Council was dedicated to this", Kocharyan said.
According to him, at the present stage, the three co-chairs have one mandate, which is to promote a common denominator through compromises between the parties. The second mandate is related to the permanent membership of the Co-Chairs in the UN Security Council, which means preventing the resumption of hostilities.
