Early this morning, the enemy again launched offensive operations in the northern and southern directions. More persistent battles took place in the southern direction. During those battles, our troops successfully stopped several offensive attacks of the enemy and threw them back to the back positions. This was reported by the representative of the RA Ministry of Defense Artsrun Hovhannisyan during the briefing.
"Yesterday evening during the day our air defense units managed to hit Azerbaijani UAVs for several times. We showed the Turkish Bayraktar UAV produced in September 2020. At the moment, the situation is tense, the hostilities continue not as intensely as they do during the day", Hovhannisyan said. The representative of the RA Ministry of Defense mentioned that the military operations have a clear strategy.
"Subversive groups of the Azerbaijani armed forces, small groups often infiltrate into the settlements near the front, where the settlements have not been inhabited at all for a long time. There they take photos and spread them, first of all influencing their own society, but unfortunately that very often influence our society and the media as well.
"There are settlements that were considered occupied by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces 10-15 days ago, even on many maps and on the Internet they are considered to be under the control of Azerbaiajni armed forces. But they still do not have any control there", Hovhannisyan said, urging not to bring such news to our field.
He stressed that the situation is stable, it is controllable, some accumulations or infiltration actions do not mean the advance or success of the troops.
