On October 18, The RA Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan had a telephone conversation with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borell.
Minister Mnatsakanyan provided his interlocutor with detailed information on hostilities unleashed by the Azerbaijani armed forces since September 27 against the civilian population of Artsakh, the damage caused to civilian infrastructure, the use of weapons prohibited by international conventions, and the large number of deportees as a result of these atrocities.
The RA Foreign Minister noted that this aggression of the Azerbaijani side takes place in the conditions of Turkey's direct involvement, that is manifested by the latter's deployment of armed terrorists in the region, which is a serious threat to regional and international security.
Zohrab Mnatsakanyan expressed deep concern over the vague position expressed by some actors in the international community, emphasizing that Azerbaijan considers such a policy as a connivance for the continuation of Azerbaijani aggression accompanied by violations of international law.
The interlocutors stressed the need to implement the ceasefire agreements.
